    The Olgiati Award, established in memory of Ennis J. Olgiati, is the highest honor bestowed by NAPSA. Presented for the first time in 1983, it recognizes individuals or organizations for lifetime achievement in the field of pretrial services.

  • John C. Hendricks Pioneer Award

    The Pioneer Award was renamed the John C. Hendricks Pioneer Award in 2011 in recognition of the “founding” of the statewide Kentucky Pretrial Services Agency. This award is given from time to time by the Board of Directors to recognize an individual who has been instrumental in guiding the pretrial movement to where it is today, and/or to those who continue to “push the envelope” in addressing issues that arise as a result of injustice caused by changes in our society or our deepening realization of present unfairness.

  • The Member of the Year Award

    In 1984, the NAPSA Board of Directors established the Member of the Year Award to honor a NAPSA member who has made a significant contribution to the Association. It was presented for the first time in New Orleans, Louisiana to Jim Droege, Director of the Marion County (Indianapolis, IN) Pretrial Services Agency.

  • The Bruce Beaudin Award

    The Bruce Beaudin Award was first awarded in 1995. The award recognizes the accomplishments of a line staff pretrial worker who exemplifies the goals and objectives of the pretrial services profession. The award is given to a NAPSA member in honor of Bruce Beaudin, former Director of the D.C. Pretrial Services Agency and founding President of NAPSA in 1972.

  • The Charles W. Daniels Judicial Leadership Award

    In 2019, the NAPSA Board of Directors created the Judicial Leadership Award to memorialize the career of New Mexico Supreme Court Justice Charles W. Daniels.  Justice Daniels was a significant advocate for pretrial reform in New Mexico and led the effort that reformed pretrial practice and policy.  This award is presented to a judicial officer that exemplifies leadership to reform pretrial systems and agencies through legal and evidence-based practices.  The award was first presented in 2021.
